xICE is an innovative emulation technique that allows different target boards to run on different scan chains. Code Composer Studio can connect to up to 16 targets via a single PCI slot - a very economical way to begin development of multi-processor products. Because xICE eliminates the need for targets to be "daisy chained" onto the same scan chain, debugging of multi-processor systems has been made faster than ever before. With multiple PCI cards, you may even run up to 64 targets from the very same machine! 

Features :

»  Allows multiple, simultaneous scan paths in a single PCI slot. Up to 16 JTAG scan paths can be connected to each card where each target can have a unique scan path, thereby eliminating the need to "daisy chain" JTAG devices. 
»  Significant performance enhancements for each target are observed as a consequence of the above point
»  Eliminates the need for "bypass" mode.
»  High Level Language debugging with Code Composer and Code Composer Studio.
» Multi-processor / multi-emulator system support
» Allows debugging of multi-target systems at variable (configurable) TCLK rates from 5MHz to 20MHz
» Low voltage processor support - 1.0V to 5.0V processors (auto-detect)
» Allows simultaneous RTDX & DSP BIOS on mixed targets
